McGehee Coach Marcus Haddock named 4A Coach of the Year

McGehee football coach Marcus Haddock, who led the Owls to a 10-2 season and a trip to the playoffs, was named Class 4A Coach of the Year, according to a Hootens.com news release. Haddock and McGehee quarterback Deondrei Haynes were among 45 finalists and their guests who attended the 2011 Farm Bureau Awards Banquet in North Little Rock where the state’s top coaches and players were honored. Former Monticello coach, Van Paschal, who now coaches at Barton, was named 3A Coach of the Year.

The Farm Bureau Awards honor the state’s top offensive player, defensive player and coach of the year for each classification. The staff at Hooten’s Arkansas Football selected three finalists for each category and all 45, along with their guests, attended a banquet and video extravaganza where the winners were announced. The event was broadcast live by THV2 and THV2.com.
