Man arrested in fatal shooting Saturday night at Crossett

An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Crossett Saturday night sometime before 10 p.m. A 17-year-old was killed and a 19-year-old man was injured in the shooting, according to a brief press release from the Crossett Police Department.

According to the news release, witnesses identified the shooter as 18-year-old Carson Owens, of Crossett, who was taken into custody without incident.

The injured man was identified as Kenton Pittman, 19, of Crossett, but Crossett police would not release the name of the deceased victim. The shooting occurred at 607 Cedar Street in Crossett.

Owens’ bond was set at $300,000.
