Sixteen Ashley County residents have been arrested in connection with the April 1 melee at the Pine Street Park in Hamburg where one person was killed and two were injured. The 16 new arrests brings the total number arrested in the incident to 18.
Lorenzo Rashad Miller, 22, of Hamburg, one of three men who were hit by gunfire, died of a gunshot wound to the back. Rasario Ford, Jr., 21, of Crossett, was struck in the leg and Chris Diggs, 21, of Hamburg was struck in the hip.
Ford, Diggs and 14 others have been arrested on aggravated riot charges.

Darus J. Fields, 22, Celessa Marie Hart, 27, Jonathan Wendell Hart, 24, Eric D. Hymes, 20, Lequarious A. Nimmer, 24, Whitney Marie Stanley, 26, and Ray Charles Tucker, 27, all of Crossett; and Ashley N. Brock, 24, Phillip D. Brock, 22, Archie Lee Huggins, Jr., 35, Marcus S. Jordan, 29, Edward Morris, Jr., 27, Christopher M. Robinson, 25, all of Hamburg; and Kendrion D. Houston, 23, of Wilmot.
Circuit Judge Sam Pope set bonds for the 16 new arrests Tuesday. Bonds range from $10,000 to $100,000.
Aggravated riot is a Class D felony punishable by maximum six-year prison sentence.
Derrick Antonio Haynes, 28, and Ray Lee Thompson, 25, both of Crossett, were previously arrested on aggravated assault charges following the shooting.
