The Possum Valley community will host a meet-n-greet for Drew County political candidates at the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Possum Valley on May 12, 7 p.m.

Candidates will be given a limited time to speak followed by a question and answer session. Light refreshments will be served afterwards, giving candidates time to meet and mingle with constituents.

Possum Valley is home to four candidates who will appear on the Drew County Democratic primary ballots. They are Tonya Loveless, a candidate for Drew County Collector; Jim Glennon, a candidate for Drew County Judge; Mark Gober, a candidate for Drew County Sheriff; and Rene’ Knowles, a candidate for Drew County Justice of the Peace, District 9. Gober and Knowles are incumbents. Loveless is currently the executive deputy collector.
