Archie Wayne May, 69, of Arkansas City, passed away on November 23, 2017.
He was born on December 1, 1947 to the late Erwin and Artie Curry May.
Mr. May was retired from the United States Navy and was a member of the Walter E. Jaynes American Legion Post # 79. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and he also loved spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. He was a member of Watson Assembly of God Church.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank May and Harold Eubanks; sister, Betty Watson.
Survivors include his wife Jennifer May of Arkansas City; stepson, Jeremy Spurlock of Rohwer; stepdaughter, Amelia (Jason) Horton of Monticello; brother, Travis (Margaret) Eubanks of White City, Oregon; sisters, Barbara Roberts of Dunedin, Florida and Wanda (Larry) Roberts of Rougon, Louisiana; best friend, Paul Richard Peacock of McGehee; grandchildren, Emma Horton and Kaylee Horton.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, November 27, at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28, at Watson Assembly of God Church in Watson with Rev. Roger Pierce officiating. Burial will follow at Kelso Cemetery with military honors.
