Medical Examiner: George Flowers’ death a homicide

The state Medical Examiner has determined that George Flowers died of complications from blunt force physical trauma, ruling his death a homicide, and 10th Judicial District Prosecutor Thomas Deen has charged Flowers’ alleged assailant with murder. The second annual Junk Hunt Loop, a 3-day multi-county yard sale along highways 79 and 63 in Southeast Arkansas, has been set for October 5 through October 7. Flowers dies following alleged beating in July

George Flowers, a Southeast Arkansas man allegedly beaten in July, died Sunday. His body has been transported to the state Crime Lab to determine the cause and manner of death. If the medical examiner determines the cause of the 67-year-old Drew County man’s death was the result of the alleged beating, charges against Flowers’ alleged assailant will be upgraded, according to Drew County Sheriff Mark Gober. Man dies in early morning accident in Drew County

A Monticello man was killed early Saturday morning (shortly after midnight Friday) in a single-vehicle accident on Bowser Road, according to an Arkansas State Police preliminary accident report.
