A body believed to be that of a Crossett woman, missing since January 13, was found this week, according to authorities. The body, believed to be that of 38-year-old Shannon Ridener, was found Thursday by an off-duty Arkansas Game & Fish Commission officer. A Star City woman died and another person was injured in a single-vehicle accident Tuesday in Lincoln County, according to an Arkansas State Police preliminary accident report. Maria Elvira Heflin, 62, was traveling east on Arkansas 114 in Lincoln County when the 2003 GMC Sierra she was driving overcorrected and rotated clockwise before entering a ditch and overturning. Heflin was ejected from the vehicle and died in the accident, according to the preliminary accident report. The Ashley County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a Crossett woman, missing since January 13.
