1 killed, 1 injured in truck-train accident in Ashley County

An 18-year-old passenger in a pickup truck was killed Tuesday afternoon after the truck was hit by a train at Montrose, according to an Arkansas State Police preliminary accident report. The Ashley County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a Crossett woman, missing since January 13. Shannon Ridener, 38, was last seen on January 13 when she was visiting her father and stepmother at their home in Crossett. She was with someone in a small white car. Two Drew County men recently were arrested in connection with the late November 2017 break-ins in the Windy Hills and Old Highway 13 area, north of Monticello, according to a news release from the Drew County Sheriff’s Office.
