Julie Watkins, the court clerk for the 28th District Court, recently was recognized by the Arkansas Supreme Court as a certified court manager after completing National Center for State Courts requirements, according to a news release announcing her accomplishment.

Watkins completed 120 hours in court performance standards, project management for courts, and purposes and responsibilities of courts, as well as other court management areas.

The Arkansas certification program is part of the Court Management Program (CMP), established in 2011. It is available through the National Center for State Courts’ Institute for Court Management. The program provides training specific to trial court management and administration. It is a nationally recognized accomplishment pursued annually by district court clerks, circuit court clerks, their staffs, and employees of the Administrative Office of the Courts.
