Eddy Gene Cherry, 66, of Tillar, passed away on October 28, 2017.
He was born in Dumas on February 1, 1951 to the late Ed and Emma Chambers Cherry.
Mr. Cherry was a graduate of McGehee High School and worked for UPS for 36 years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time at Greers Ferry Lake. He was a member and deacon at Kelso Baptist Church.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Cherry.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Waldrup Cherry; daughters, Jammi (Scott) Bice of Rogers and Jennifer Cherry of Dumas; brothers, Ronny (Donna) Cherry of Crockett, Texas and Carl (Darlene) Cherry of Log Cabin, Louisiana; a sister, Darlene (Chuck) Hearn of Glenwood and a host of friends and extended family.
Visitation will be held 5-7pm Monday, October 30 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31, at Kelso Baptist Church in Kelso with Rev. Ben White and Rev. Terry Sayer officiating. Burial will be at Tillar Cemetery.
