Frances Lavelle Streeter, 94, of Hamburg, died on January 2, 2018 at the Ashley County Medical Center.
Mrs. Streeter was a native of Jones, Louisiana and a resident of Hamburg for over 70 years. She was a homemaker, a seamstress, a member of the Hamburg Home Extension for many years and a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed volunteering at the Hamburg Nursing Home where she taught the residents how to do crafts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Streeter in 1993; two sons, Rev. Darrell Streeter in 2010 and Ervin Doyle Streeter in 2017; her parents, Julian Evans Hogan, Sr. and Florence Boone Hogan; two sisters, Grace Burchfield and Margaret Croswell; three brothers, Julian Evans Hogan, Jr., Thurman Sylvester “Bud” Hogan and Limuel Lamar “Babe” Hogan.
She is survived by two daughters-in-law, Lynette Streeter of Hamburg and Ivorie Streeter of Alvin, Texas; five grandchildren, Timothy Streeter and wife, Mikki, of Hamburg, Darrell Randall Streeter and wife, Bambi, of New Caney, Texas, Tony Streeter and wife, Connie, of Hamburg, Kevin Streeter and wife, Lesa, of Crossett and Tonya Allen and husband, James Randall, of Friendswood, Texas; two brothers, Lon Boone Hogan of Crossett and Allen Crawford Hogan of Georgia; eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 4 at 2 p.m. at the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joey Meredith and Bro. Willie Thornhill officiating. Burial will be in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are Robbie Streeter, Kebo Streeter, Tyler Streeter, Joey Streeter, Cole Streeter and Jarrett Allen.
