Monticello Christmas Parade is Tuesday

MONTICELLO — The annual Monticello-Drew County Chamber of Commerce ‘Carols of Christmas’ parade will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, November 29. The parade will feature about 40 entries, including more than 20 Christmas floats with the traditional Christmas carol theme. Judges will be beauty queens from around Southeast Arkansas, including Miss Ashley County Lacy Flurry, of Crossett; Miss Chicot County Tiffany Burton, of Lake Village; Miss Desha County Lyndsey Moss, of McGehee; and Miss Drew County Jessica Savage, of Monticello, according to Monticello-Drew County Chamber of Commerce director Glenda Nichols.

The parade will follow its usual route down North Main Street, around the town square to South Main and end at the Drew County Historical Museum where the museum will host its annual candlelight tour, visits with Santa, and refreshments.

There will be a pre-parade reception and visits with Miss Arkansas Kristen Glover in the downtown Union Bank lobby beginning at 5 p.m.
