Mainline Health Systems, Inc. has been awarded a $25,000 grant from Delta Dental to purchase dental hygiene equipment to be placed in the Jimmy Brown Elementary-Star City School District. A McGehee man was been arrested in connection with the Tuesday night shooting death of a Wilmar man. Jerell Terry, 25, of McGehee, was arrested Friday in Pulaski County by U.S. Marshals, according to Drew County Sheriff Mark Gober. Wolfe pleads guilty in Drew County Museum case

The Drew County Museum theft case ended Friday when Circuit Judge Sam Pope accepted a guilty plea from Terri Wolfe. Charges against against Beth Thurman were dismissed. A Wilmar man was killed Tuesday night in a shooting at his home. It was the second fatal shooting in Drew County in less than 12 hours. Interfor plans $46 million investment at Monticello division

The Interfor Corporation has announced that it will invest $46 million to upgrade and modernize it’s sawmill in Monticello. The project is scheduled to be completed in early 2019. The project includes the installation of new state-of-the-art machine centers in the sawmill as well as upgrades to the planer mill and one new continuous lumber drying kiln.
