Philip Lauhon, 68, of Hamburg, died on August 31, 2017 in Little Rock.
Mr. Lauhon was a 1967 graduate of Hamburg High School and a veteran of the United States Army who served during the Vietnam Era. He was a cattleman, a rice and soybean farmer and a member of the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed camping with his family and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Dorothy Stell and E. H. Fox; his father and stepmother, Harry and Mary Alice Lauhon and a stepbrother, Lavell Daugherty.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Hilda Byrd Lauhon; two daughters, Amy Hartshorn and husband, Andrew, of Hamburg and Vickie Lauhon of Little Rock; two brothers, Dale Lauhon and wife, Martha, and Gerald Lauhon and wife, Betty, all of Hamburg; two stepbrothers, David Daughtery and wife, Cathy, of Searcy and Charles Daughtery and wife, Jean, of Dallas, Texas; a grandson, Hagan Philip Hartshorn and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Saturday, September 2 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., at the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home in Hamburg.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, September 3, at 2 p.m. at the Promise Land Cemetery with Bro. Josh Luellen officiating.
