Robert “Bob” Curtis Evans, 64, passed away on October 21, 2017 in Port Neches, Texas.
He was born and raised in Lake Village and was the son of the late Dean Evans and Mozelle Myers Evans.
Mr. Evans was a longtime resident and catfish farmer in Hamburg, an avid hunter and fisherman, and a member of the Woodstock Hunting and Fishing Club of Mississippi and Berea Hunting Club in Hamburg. He enjoyed taking kids on hunts and was present for many first deer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Tommy Gillison and sister, Debbie Williams.
He is survived by two sons, Curt Evans of Dayton, Tennessee and Seth Evans and wife Keri of Benton; stepdaughter, Dawn Martin and husband Blake of Hamburg; stepson, Chris Trull of Thomasville, Alabama; stepmother, Pippa Evans of Lake Village; brothers, Randy Evans and wife Charlene of Lake Village, and Sam Evans and wife Jana of Hamburg; brother-in-law, Mike Williams of Greenville, Mississippi; nephews, Shane and Ryan Evans, and Brian and Clint Williams; nieces, Myra Evans and Aubrey Fitts; and most beloved of all, his grandchildren, Corey and Avery Martin and Layla and Emmett Evans.
A visitation will be held on November 1, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. for friends and family. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Bishop King Funeral Home in Lake Village.
