Ruby Clark Wood, 90, of Dumas passed away July 12, 2017 in Dumas.
Born August 11, 1926 in Conway and was the daughter of the late, Vernon Ira Clark, Sr. and Ruby Pearl Shaw Clark.
Mrs. Wood moved to Dumas in 1944 from Centerville, Arkansas. She married Thomas Riley Wood on November 13, 1948. She was a member of the Rankin Chapel Baptist Church and the Democrat Central Committee of Desha County.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Ben O. Wood; a brother, Robert James Clark; and a sister, Rable Vaden.
Survivors are two sons, Tommy Lynn Wood and Jimmy Edward Wood, both of Monticello; two daughters, Ruby Ann Montigue of Pickles Gap and Bonita Yount of Monticello; three brothers, V.I. Clark, Jr. of West Monroe, Mississippi; Pat Clark of Dumas and Gerald F. Clark of Bozier City, Louisiana; two sisters, Elizabeth Goad of Dumas and Martha Southard of Hot Springs; 22 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 14 from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow visitation at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with Revs. Lewis Branson and Monty Meek officiating.
