A McGehee man was been arrested in connection with the Tuesday night shooting death of a Wilmar man.
Jerell Terry, 25, of McGehee, was arrested Friday in Pulaski County by U.S. Marshals, according to Drew County Sheriff Mark Gober.
Terry is suspected of shooting 20-year-old Christon Sheets Tuesday night around 11 p.m. at his home in Wilmar. Sheets was shot twice in the abdomen and died at Drew Memorial Hospital.
Gober said Friday night that Terry is being held in the Pulaski County Jail. Drew County deputies are en route to Pulaski County pick him up and transport him to Drew County.
A second suspect is currently being sought in connection with the shooting.
“We’re still looking for a second suspect,” Gober said. “I am confident he will be apprehended.
