Tenth Judicial District Prosecutor Thomas Deen on Friday charged Elizabeth P. Thurman and Terri L. Wolfe with theft following a lengthy state police investigation and state audit of Drew County Historical Museum financial records.

Auditors found $182,446 in undocumented or questionable disbursements from the museum from January 1, 2011, through September 8, 2015, according to an Arkansas Legislative Audit report.

Cousins Terri Wolfe, former treasurer of the Drew County Historical Museum Commission, and Elizabeth P. Thurman, also a former commissioner, resigned on September 8, 2015.
