A Warren man was arrested Sunday for allegedly stabbing another man multiple times during an altercation at a Warren residence, according to Sgt. Tim Nichols, a criminal investigator at the Warren Police Department.
Nichols said Warren police officers were dispatched Sunday afternoon to the Bradley County Medical Center where Jimmy Broughton of Warren, was being treated for approximately seven stab wounds. Broughton’s injuries were not life-threatening.
During an investigation into the stabbing, police received information leading them to 49-year-old Floyd Robinson who reportedly fled the scene of the altercation while someone took Broughton to the hospital in a personal vehicle, according to Nichols.
Robinson was arrested at his home without incident. He likely will be charged with first-degree battery.
