James Marvin Lasiter, 86, of Warren, died on January 18, 2016 at Bradley County Medical Center.

He was the former owner and operator of Lasiter’s Garage and Warren Motor Supply. He was a Christian, U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, an avid crappie fisherman and enjoyed water skiing.

Mr. Lasiter was born March 30, 1929 at Warren and was the son of the late Marion Lee Lasiter and Bessie Reep Lasiter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Benson; a brother, Travis Lasiter; two brothers-in-law, Thomas Ashcraft and Ross Benson; and a sister-in-law Carolyn Lasiter.

Survivors are his wife, Mayme Ruth Sanders Lasiter; a son Jim Lasiter and wife Emily of Warren; three daughters, Debbi Hargrave and husband Bobby, Terri Slaughter and husband Bill, and Denecia Sellers and husband John, all of Warren; two sisters Virginia Ashcraft of Warren and Shirley Lowry of Crossett; seven grandchildren, Brad Hargrave and wife Devin, Ryan Slaughter and wife Stephanie, Jarrod Hargrave and wife Staci, Matt Sellers and wife Courtney, Mary Jo Lasiter, all of Warren, Jeff Slaughter and wife Kelli of Maumelle, and Bobby Hubbard of Kansas; nine great-grandchildren, Westin Hargrave, Natalie Hargrave, Miles Hargrave, Emmitt Hargrave, Carson Slaughter, Eva Slaughter, all of Warren, Logan Hubbard and Lawson Hubbard, both of Kansas, and Paisley Slaughter of Maumelle.

Funeral service will be held on January 21 at 1:30 p.m. at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren with Revs. Danny Kelley and David Richey officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Brad Hargrave, Ryan Slaughter, Jarrod Hargrave, Jeff Slaughter, Matt Sellers, Charles Doggett, Bobby Hubbard and Mary Jo Lasiter. Honorary pallbearers are John Berry, Don Wiggam, Dr. Dichelle George, Bruce Lawson and Mike Miller.
