A Bradley County man and his 15-year-old daughter were killed and four others were injured Sunday morning in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 530 near Redfield in Jefferson County, according to an Arkansas State Police preliminary report.

Christopher D. Perry, 48, and Hannah Perry, 15, both of Warren were killed in the accident.

Joshua Tisdale, 17, of Little Rock, and Tyler Edwards, 18, Neiman Byrd, 18, and Jakheeno Stewart, 18, all of Pine Bluff, were injured in the accident.

The accident occurred shortly before 1 a.m. at the 20-mile marker of Interstate 530 in Jefferson County near Redfield.

Tisdale, the driver of a Toyota Camry, was traveling south on the interstate when he attempted to pass a southbound Toyota Highlander driven by Perry. The Camry struck the rear of the Highlander causing the Highlander to travel off the roadway, overturn and hit a tree. The Camry struck a cable barrier and caught fire, according to State Police.

Perry and his daughter died in the accident.

Byrd and Stewart, also passengers in Perry’s vehicle, and Tisdale and his passenger, Edwards, were taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, according to the police report.

The weather was clear and the roadway was dry.
