Bruce Westerman, the first Republican Arkansas House Majority Leader in 138 years, will be the special guest speaker at the November 11 meeting of the Southeast Arkansas TEA Party.
Westerman is one of several candidates running for Arkansas District 4 in the U. S. House of Representatives, a position currently held by Tom Cotton. Westerman will speak about his campaign, his plans for the office of U. S. Representatives, if elected, and answer questions.
The Southeast Arkansas Tea Party plans to host as many candidates who are running for election or re-election in 2014 as possible. Westerman has agreed to be one of those speakers.
The public is invited to attend the meeting which will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Living Word Fellowship Church located on U.S. 425 South across the highway from Ryburn Automtive Superstore in the building which houses Cowboy’s Restaurant.
Hopefully Rep. Westerman will have some answers for our problems instead of the same paranoid Tea Party criticisms offered by Ms. Debra Pelley at the last church/political rally. This rally is just another slap in the face of the Constitutional church/state metaphor that has been honored and respected since the beginning. An established precedent if there ever was one.
Unfortunately I will have to attend the rally by proxy, but with luck we’ll have a chance to question Rep. Westerman about Agenda 21. Ms. Pelley brought up Agenda 21 during the last Tea Party church/political rally but she had no answers, only criticism and fear-mongering. Hopefully this rally will be more positive and protective than the last one.
See you there.
I = proxy.
It was not what I expected. I was disappointed not in what I heard but what I didn’t hear. I heard a lot of complaining and paranoid comments regarding everything from political enemies to what will happen to the children if our current course is kept. But I did not hear any answers to the problems in this country, only complaints and a longing for the “good ol’ days when everyone knew their place. This is not uncommon at these church/political
These people not only believe this country is in danger of becoming a Communist state, they believe the president is a Marxist whose goal is to do away with life as we know it and replace it with something too horrible to imagine..
Last month a nice lady spoke at a Tea Party church/political ralley. Ms. Debra Pelley spoke on some of these fears and if she is to be believed, everyone over 60 will be herded into villages, forced to ride bicycles, and it will be a crime to eat steak. If you find that as hard to believe as I did, go the archives and pull up her rally speech. You will find those and many more surprises.
Next: Agenda 21 for Dummies, The Affordable Boat Act and why everything has to be dumbed-down
Why does the Tea Party hierarchy continue to treat their rank and file like half-bright children? They talk to them in simple terms and elementary sentences full of fear and doom, using ridiculous paperbacks like “Agenda 21 For Dummies,” and the nonsensical “Affordable Boat Act” to reach their members who can”t understand the issues otherwise.
Remember that the average Tea Bagger is 68-years old, so new concepts, new information, and changing mores are alien and frightening to them. They resist change, they fear change, they make excuses for refusing change…they worship the past when everyone knew their place and dare not show signs of change or resistance to authority.
The Tea Party promises their sheep shelter from this Socialist-based “Modernism” they fear is just a few years away, a shelter that will favor the top 2% of the population like it does now. Right-wing extremists like the Koch brothers finance this charade and expect something for the $Millions of dirty money funneled into the fascist, anarchist cult that is the Tea Party.
Next: What do they want?
I’m still not sure if I understand why the Tea Party hates and fears Agenda 21 so much. Very little substantive information has been forthcoming from the TP management regarding the matter, and what does come forth comes in the form of a paranoid, ignorant whine. But that’s been their MO for as long as they’ve been in business. Always against progress, but with no plan of their own.
What little has been said comes from a retired teacher, Ms. Debra Pelley, who admitted she didn’t understand any of the Agenda despite having dedicated the past several years of her life researching it. I find it a little strange for her to spend years and years researching a voluntary, non-binding agreement that she will never comprehend. Why does she do it? She drank the TP Kool-Aid.
What the TP naysayers and complainers all agree on is they don’t like Agenda 21, and they will fight it to the death. They were whipped into this frenzy by a paranoid, unstable, hypocritical little propagandist named Glen Beck. Beck selected his audience from rural, uneducated states populated by a disproportionate number of easily-frightened, regressive fundamentalists who, like retired-teacher Debra Pelley, don’t understand anything about something as elementary as Agenda 21, especially when you can refer to “Agenda 21 For Dummies.” Why the TP rank and file doesn’t understand the implication is beyond me.
Next: Beck insanity
I see we have a new feature…Question of the Day. Does anybody know what the question is for today? I have one for November 24, 2013 if nobody else does. I heard a variation of this one on the Glen Beck show that happened to be on the waiting room Tee Vee at the local Tesla dealership. I was shocked to hear Beck break from his masters and come down on the woman’s side.
The question went, and goes, something like this:
Who should decide whether a woman has a child or not?
A. The woman;
B. The woman and her doctor;
C. The Federal Government.
