The second annual Highway 35 Junk Hunt will be held March 9-11. The event includes 124 miles of rummage sales & shopping in southeast Arkansas. Cities included are Dermott, Monticello, Rison, Sheridan, Grapevine and Benton.

Each city has a sale hub where space is available to area residents who do not live directly on Arkansas Highway 35 to allow them to set up and sell.

“We encourage everyone who lives along the Arkansas Highway 35 corridor from Dermott to Benton to clean out your barns, storage buildings and closets and set up along Highway 35 to sell,” said Diana Harton one of the event organizers. “It’s a great opportunity to turn your junk or clutter into cash. The most important thing is to let us know where your sale will be.”

The group has established a Google Map on the Historic Hwy. 35 Junk Hunt Facebook page where sale locations are being added daily. This map is being promoted in the multi-state region and will guide buyers to your sale. Message the Facebook page or call 870-367-3076 to get your sale listed on the map. “The more dots we have on our map, the more buyers we can attract,” Harton said.

The Dermott sale hub will be located at Glover Park in Dermott. Call the Dermott City Hall, 870-538-5251 to reserve your space at no cost. Ask for Shamia.

The Monticello sale hub will be located at the MEDC Industrial park. Call 870-367-3076 to reserve your space at no cost. Ask for Deborah or Nita.
