Five football players from South Arkansas are among the 44 players from Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas and Tennessee who signed with the University of Arkansas at Monticello on National Signing Day.

Those from South Arkansas signing with UAM are:

Adam Fonville, a 5-10, 180-pound running back from Star City. Fonville was a two-time All-District honoree, was named Offensive Back of the Year, and was a Simmons Bank Deltaplex Radio Dream Team selection.

Carter Hawkins, a 5-10, 200-pound fullback from McGehee. Hawkins was a three-time All Conference selection, a two-time All-State honoree, received the Richard Garyson Award for outstanding lineman, and was named outstanding tight end and linebacker of the 6-3A.

Tolliver Hunt, a 6-1, 335-pound offensive lineman from Watson Chapel. Hunt earned All-State honors his senior year, was a two-time All-Conference selection, and appeared in a 2020 All-Star game.

Caleb Jacobs, a 5-7, 170-pound athlete from Parkers Chapel High School. Jacobs was a three-time All Conference selection, an All-State honoree, and the 2019 Hooten’s Football Farm Bureau 2A Offensive Player of the Year.

Justin Stokes, a 6-2, 170-pound quarterback from Crossett.

UAM signed one other player from Arkansas: Greg Hooks, a 6-1, 175-pound wide receiver from Osceola. Hooks was 2019 All-State honoree and a two-time All-District selection.

Jonathan Brock, a 6-2, 170-pound cornerback from Bonnabel High School in Kenner, Louisiana. Brock was a 2019 Second-Team All-District selection.

Nathan Sullivan, a 5-10, 160-pound cornerback from East Feliciana High School in Jackson, Louisiana. Sullivan was a 2019 All-State honorable mention and a three-time All-District honoree.

Andrew Davis, a 6-10, 195-pound defensive back from John F. Kennedy High school in New Orleans, Louisiana. Davis was a two-time All-District selection.

Rhema Getter, a 6-1, 200-pound defensive end from Captain Shreve High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. Getter was a two-time First-Team All-District selection, earned All-City honors, and holds the school record for sacks.

Kieren Batiste, a 6-3, 245-pound defensive end from Comeaux High School in Comeaux, Louisiana. Batiste was a 2019 All-District selection at defensive end.

Ty Marks, a 6-2, 200-pound defensive end from Comeaux High School in Comeaux, Louisiana. Marks earned 2019 All-Area honors.

Carl Owens, a 6-4, 220-pound defensive end from Woodlawn High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Owens was a two-time All-Academic selection and an All-District honoree.

Brendon Groves, a 6-2, 270-pound defensive tackle from Belle Chasse High School in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Groves was four-time All-District selection after starting as a freshman. He earned Second-Team All-South honors for Louisiana and was named a Top 50 Metro New Orleans football recruit.

Cole Crenshaw, a 5-11, 180-pound kicker from Live Oak High School in Watson, Louisiana. Crenshaw was named Special Teams Player of the Year in 2018. He earned special teams Player of the Game honors in 2019 Redstick Bowl and Second-Team All-Parish kicker.

Khalil Brisco, a 5-11, 215-pound linebacker from Thibodaux High School in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Brisco was a First-Team All-District honoree and earned First-Team All-Region honors.

Keyon Kyser, a 5-11, 220-pound linebacker from Southern Lab High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Noah Bellow, a 6-5, 280-pound offensive lineman from Lafayette Christian Academy in Lafayette, Louisiana. Bellow was a two-time All-District honoree and helped his team win three state championships.

Kylin Leblanc, a 6-1, 300-pound offensive lineman from Lafayette Christian Academy in Lafayette, Louisiana. Leblanc was a two-time All-District selection, earned All-State honors his senior year, was a 2019 All-Metro selection, and helped his team to three state championships

Gavin Clements, a 6-3, 280-pound offensive lineman from E.D. White High School in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Clements was a First-Team All-District honoree, earned All-South Louisiana Team honors, and was a First-Team All-Parish selection.

Ashtrein Duncan, a 5-10, 185-pound quarterback from Central Lafourche High School in Matthews, Louisiana. Duncan All-State honors as a senior and wa a 2019 All-District honoree.

Luke Doucet, a 5-9, 215-pound running back from Iota High School in Iota, Louisiana. Doucet was a four-time All-District honoree after starting as a freshman, a two-time Acadia Parish Most Valuable Player, a two-time All-LFCA All-State honoree, a two-time All-South Louisiana Team running back.

Chris Smith, a 5-9, 180-pound running back from Brother Martin High School in New Orleans, Louisiana. Smith was an All-District honoree.

Eddie Flugence, a 5-9, 175-pound running back from Comeaux High School in Comeaux, Louisiana. Flugence was an All-District honoree.

Jonero Scott, a 5-9, 185-pound running back from Woodlawn High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Lamaj Kendrick, a 6-1, 225-pound tight end from De La Salle High School in New Orleans, Louisiana. Kendrick was named to the Second-Team All-South Louisiana Team.

Derryck Dorsey, a 5-9, 160-pound wide receiver from Neville High School in Neville, Louisiana. Dorsey was a 2019 All-State honoree and earned 2019 All-District honors.

Jordan Mansfield, a 6-3, 180-pound wide receiver from Neville High School in Neville, Louisiana. Mansfield was 2018 All-District honoree.

Jerry Day, Jr., a 6-2, 200-pound wide receiver from West Monroe High School in West Monroe, Louisiana. Day was a two-time All-District selection.

Pat Johnson, a 6-2, 190-pound wide receiver from St. Frederick High School in Monroe, Louisiana. Johnson was named to the All-District team as both a wide receiver and kick returner.

Caleb Blanchard, a 6-3, 190-pound wide receiver from Woodlawn High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Blanchard was a 2019 All-District honoree. His team named him MVP after his senior season.

Ja’Corey Wells, a 6-2, 180-pound wide receiver from Vanderbilt Catholic High School in Houma, Louisiana. Wells was a three-time All-District selection.

Dawson Hagan, a 6-0, 205-pound punter from West Ouachita High School in West Monroe, Louisiana. Hagan was a 2019 All-District selection and named 2019 All-Parish Punter.

Signees from Texas:

Josiah Nicklas, a 6-2, 280-pound center from Allen High School in Allen, Texas. Nicklas was a 2019 All-District selection and named 2019 Offensive Lineman of the Year.

DJ Hicks, a 6-2, 220-pound defensive end from Carthage High School in Carthage, Texas. Hicks three-time All-District honoree, a two-time Honorable Mention All-State player, and played on a team that won three state championships in Texas.

Logan Walker, a 6-4, 225-pound defensive end from Celina High School in Celina, Texas. Walker was a 2019 All-District selection.

Kory Putmon, Jr., a 6-5, 265-pound defensive tackle from North Garland High School in Garland, Texas. Putmon was a 2019 All-District selection.

Jarett Caillier, a 6-2, 250-pound long snapper from Port Neches-Groves High School in Port Neches, Texas. Caillier was named 2019 Special Teams MVP and a 2019 All-District selection.

Kenneth Petry, a 6-2, 305-pound offensive lineman from Beaumont West Brook High School in Beaumont, Texas. Petry was nominated to play in the 2019 All-Star Game and earned All-District honors his senior year.

Hunter Watson, a 6-3, 190-pound quarterback from Celina High School in Celina, Texas. Watson earned 2019 All-District honors.

Darries Boyd, Jr., a running back from Bishop Lynch High School in Dallas, Texas. Boyd was a 2019 All-State selection, earned 2019 All-District honors, was the state of Texas’ leading rusher, and Team MVP.

Chukwuyem Egwu, a 6-2, 225-pound tight end from Little Elm High School in Little Elm, Texas. Egwu was a Second-Team All-District selection.

UAM also had two signees from Tennessee.

Braden Braden Crawford, a 6-2, 200-pound linebacker from Kirby High School in Memphis, Tennessee.

Jacob Shelton, a 6-6, 295-pound offensive lineman from Collierville High School in Collierville, Tennessee. Shelton was a 2019 All-Conference selection and a 2019 All-Region honoree.

Spring ball begins on March 17 and the spring game is April 17.
