Seven football players from Southeast Arkansas are among the 41 high school seniors and 17 mid-year transfers who signed with the University of Arkansas at Monticello on National Signing Day. National Signing Day is the first day a high school senior can sign their national letter of intent

Those from Southeast Arkansas signing with UAM are:

Tye Brown, a 6-2, 165-pound quarterback from Star City. Brown had 2,293 passing yards (20 touchdowns) and 509 rushing yards (13 touchdowns) in 2015. His career totals include 7,448 passing yards (61 touchdowns) and 865 rushing yards (24 touchdowns). His awards include, All-State, All-Conference, Wendy’s Heisman State winner and the Brandon Burlsworth Award. He has a 4.0 GPA.

Brady Flemister, a 6-4, 280-pound offensive lineman from Monticello High School. Flemister made All-Conference and All-Southeast Arkansas.

Benjamin Nichols, a 6-1, 300-pound defensive and offensive linemen from Monticello High School. He is a three-year letterwinner, second team all-conference, National Honor Society, Beta Club, English class president and carries a 3.8 GPA.

Jayse Snider, a 6-2, 215-pound athlete from McGehee High School. He is a two-time All Conference awardee and was on the Farm Bureau offensive watch list.

Nadravian “Poppa” Woods, a 6-3, 250-pound defensive lineman from Hamburg High School. He is a 3-year letterwinner, 3-time Defensive Lineman of the Week and All-Conference.

Coy Simpson, a 6-1, 250-pound offensive lineman from Watson Chapel High School. He is a two-time all-conference and two-time All-Southeast Arkansas awardee.

Tru’Davis Hobbs, a 6-2, 310-pound defensive lineman from DeWitt High School. Hobbs played both offensive and defensive line positions.

The high school senior signing class includes 24 from Arkansas, 11 from Louisiana, three from Mississippi, two from Texas and one from Oklahoma. The junior college breakdown includes nine from Mississippi schools, four from Kansas, three from Texas and one from Arizona, according to a UAM news release announcing the 58 signees.

Jodi Booker, 5-10, 225, Linebacker, Jonesboro High School (Arkansas)
2015 6A East All-State Team, Two-time state wrestling champion.

Terry Bozeman, 6-2, 205, Quarterback, Walker High School (Louisiana)
2015 stats: 2,200 passing yards, 34 total TD… Two-time honorable mention all-district, two-time second team all-parish… 2014 stats: 3,300 passing yards, 35 total TD, led the state in passing… Started in the U.S. Army Redstick Bowl Game this past year.
