Gov. Asa Hutchinson was the keynote speaker at the Ashley County Health Foundation’s 19th Annual event as the hospital celebrated its 110th anniversary and the foundation set a new fundraising record.
“We are extremely thankful for the kind words of support Governor Hutchinson has given Ashley County Medical Center, and for him taking the time out of his busy schedule to spend the evening with us in Crossett,” says Phillip Gilmore, CEO of Ashley County Medical Center.
The evening included dinner, music by University of Arkansas at Monticello Combo I, and a silent auction, as well as speeches from Hutchinson, Gilmore, Ashley County Medical Center Chief of Staff Dr. Kenneth Richards, and Ashley County Health Foundation Chairman Lori Walsh.
Ashley County Health Foundation raised more than $59,000, a new record. The organization raises money for the hospital to purchase items related to patient care.
Walsh and the foundation board thanked all sponsors, donors, and those who attended the event.
“It was a beautiful night with great speakers, including the governor as well as Dr Ken Richards and Mr. Phillip Gilmore,” Walsh said. “We surpassed our previous total with approximately $59,000 in total contributions. We hope to put those funds to use immediately at ACMC.”
