The medical staff at Ashley County Medical Center is urging the community to get their flu vaccine to help protect themselves, their family, and their community. All the ACMC clinics and all community pharmacies have flu vaccines available.
In many instances, getting your flu shot may take less than 15 minutes and can be given while you remain seated in your car. Those seeking more information on how to get the flu vaccine are encouraged to contact their healthcare professional.
“This year, it is more important than ever with the threat of COVID to make sure you and your loved ones get their flu vaccine,” said Dr. Mark Malloy, Internal Medicine, ACMC’s Family Clinic. “Since many symptoms of flu mimic the symptoms of COVID-19, being proactive in getting your flu vaccine will help us combat this pandemic and help keep your loved ones safe.”
