Albert Eugene Devine, 67, of Monticello, passed away on September 13, 2018 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock.
He was born on August 4, 1951 in Monticello and was the son of the late Albert Devine and Betty Jean Carrington Devine.
Mr. Devine retired from the Army National Guard at the age of 55, after 36 years of service. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, a loving husband, father and papaw. His favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren and working in his yard. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marnell Free.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Linda Hancock Devine of Monticello; a son, Matthew Devine and wife Andrea of Little Rock; a daughter, Amy Sikes and husband Mark of Little Rock; a granddaughter, Sophia Sikes; a grandson, Dean Devine; a brother, Laron “Buddy” Devine of Monticello; a sister, Brenda Adcock and husband Jim of Monticello; his mother-in-law, Shirley Hancock of Monticello; and several nieces and great-nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 16, at 2 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home in Monticello. Burial with military honors will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
