Albertine D. Vaughns, 74, of Wilmot, died November 29, 2013 at her daughters residence in Fort Worth, Texas.
She was a native of Junction City, Ark., a resident of Wilmot most of her life, a retired teacher for Hamburg School District and was an active member of First Baptist Church for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Jr. and Ida Williams. Mrs. Vaughns graduated from Grambling State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She taught in Wilmot and Portland for over 40 years. She was not only a kind and loving person, but she was always ready to help anyone in need. She truly loved the Lord and the children and families of the Wilmot, AR community.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Peter Vaughns; two daughters, Doris Haywood, husband LaGerald of Ft. Worth, Texas, Danita Vaughns of Del Valle, Texas; two sons, David Daniels of Humble, Texas, and Paul Vaughns and wife Natalia of Fort Worth, Texas; four grandchildren, Dimitri Johnson, Byron Hobbs-Vaughns, Pryze Vaughns and NaKayla Vaughns; one aunt, Margaret McClelland of Junction City, Ark., and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will b held December 7 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. James Crockett, officiating. Pallbearers are Charles Kitchen, Rocky Kitchen, Kenny Evans, Dewayne Stanley, Cleveland Parker and Billy Kitchen. Burial in Second Baptist Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, Ark.
