Alma Jean Pinkston, 84, of Crossett, passed away on August 29, 2016 in Little Rock.
She worked at Chase Bag Company until she was married in 1955. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Arkansas State Firefighters, Postal Service and the Eastern Star. She was also involved in PTA and Band Boosters. She was of the Assembly of God faith.
Mrs. Pinkston was born on August 27, 1932 in Warren and was the daughter of the late James Almer and Ethel Irene Lochala Langley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W. R. “Pinky” Pinkston; a daughter, Terry Lynn Pruitt; a sister, Christine Graves and a brother, Charles Langley.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth R. Pinkston (Dawn) of Ponchatoula, Louisiana; two daughters, Cecelia Jean Strickland (Victor) of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Pamela K. Pinkston of Crossett; a brother, Don Langley of Crossett; a sister, Jo Ann Johnson of Crossett; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on September 3 at 2 p.m. at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett. Visitation will be held on September 2 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
