Alma Mae Barnett, 77 of Hamburg, died December 13, 2013 at the Ashley County Medical Center.
She was a native of Fountain Hill, AR, and had resided in Hamburg for over 50 years. She was a retiree of Hamburg Shirt Factory and was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Fountain Hill. She loved watching television, sports were her favorite. She also enjoyed listening to and singing along with gospel music and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Barnett; two sons, Ronnie David Barnett and Bobby “Spoon” Barnett; one grandson, Andrew Baker, her parents, Robert and Mary David; one brother, Billy Ray David; and one sister, Earlene Miller.
She is survived by one son, Jamie Barnett of Sedalia, Mo.; two daughters, Marilyn Wilson and husband Reggie, and Janice Williamson and husband Gary, all of Hamburg; four brothers, Thomas David of Ft. Hill, Ark., Gregory David and wife Audrey of Crossett, Richard David and wife Barbara of Pine Bluff, and Ricky David and wife Connie of Oakland, Calif.; four sisters, Robizine Sawyer and Faye Franklin, both of Kansas City, Mo., Dorothy David of Oakland, Calif. and Mary Williams of Montgomery, Ala.; 12 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives loved ones and friends.
Funeral services will be held December 18, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Eld. Robert Adams, Jr., officiating. Burial will be at Lacey Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.
Visitation will be held December 17, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Cromwell Funeral Home.
