Amy Becker, a fourth grade language arts and social studied teacher at Noble/Allbritton Elementary School in Hamburg was recently selected as one of 15 regional finalists for the 2015 Arkansas Teacher of the Year Award.
Gov. Mike Beebe and Arkansas Department of Education Commissioner Tony Wood recognized the finalists at a ceremony on September 16 at the Capitol.
“Each year we are pleased to recognize some of the best teachers around the state,” said Arkansas Department of Education Commissioner Tony Wood. :Their commitment to their students and community is exemplary, and we applaud them for their dedication to education.”
Becker, of Monticello, is a 2009 graduate of the University of Arkansas in Little Rock where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in liberal arts.
