Amy White, an advanced practice registered nurse, has joined the Mainline Health Systems team working at the Star City clinic.
White has a master’s of science degree in nursing with a family nurse practitioner specialty. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and her master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati.
White, who was a registered nurse for eight years before completing her master’s degree in December, says becoming a health care provider was a goal since she was very young.
“Taking care of people has always come second nature for me, so becoming a healthcare provider has been a goal since I was very young,” she said. “Nursing is very rewarding profession, and it provides a wide array of career opportunities.”
White says she appreciates the positive work environment that Mainline provides. In addition to her fulfilling career, White has a fulfilling personal life of God, family, sports and decorating.
White and her husband, Stan, live in Monticello. They are the parents of three boys, Trystan, Jonah, and Abram. When she isn’t taking care of her patients’ needs, White enjoys watching her sons play sports.
Her favorite quote is one attributed to Maya Angelou: “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
