Ann Rossini Mazzanti (Mimi to her beloved family), 94, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2021.
She was born August 1, 1926, in Lake Village, Arkansas to Santo and Elvira Rossini.
Ann was an active member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, where she volunteered as a member of the choir, alter society, bookkeeper, cook, chief money counter for the famous Spaghetti Dinner and really for whatever was needed; all while working with her husband Bob, managing their business, The Holloway Drug Store and raising their six children. She had a true servant’s heart and was known for her delicious homemade Mimi Bread (aka sourdough bread) and Mimi’s famous Chocolate Chip Cookies.
If you asked her what she was most proud of, she would not tell you about receiving the Woman of the Year award in 1985 nor about receiving the Outstanding Community Service Award in 1992 from the Chamber of Commerce. She would tell you all about her family and she would fill your ears with stories of all her children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She would tell you that they brought her the most joy. Well, them and Jesus. Her love of the Lord shown through in everything she did. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Bick Rossini, Ida Rossini, Francis Rossini, and Pearl Rossini Suitt.
She leaves behind her husband of 65 years, Bob Mazzanti, as well as a beautiful legacy of their six children, Mark, Karen, Gary, Daryl, MaryLynn, and Bart; 14 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one more on the way, and host of nieces nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation and a rosary will be held on Friday, April 9, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Bishop-King Funeral Home in Lake Village, Arkansas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Village with father Stephen Hart as Celebrant.
Memorial donations in memory of Ann may be made to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
