The Southeast Arkansas Community Action Corporation Head Start is accepting applications for the 2012-13 school year. The Head Start program is for ages 3-5. Children must be 3 by August 1.

Head Start is an all-day program and the services provided are free.  Parents with children who have special needs and children with disabilities are encouraged to apply. Children will receive developmental, speech, and sensory screenings within 45 days of enrollment.

Children are required to have completed a physical and dental exam within the first 45 days of enrollment.

Persons making applications must have proof of child’s age (an official birth certificate), a copy of verifications of the family’s income to attach to the application and a Medicaid/AR Kids First card, if applicable.
