Southeast Arkansas Community Action Corporation will begin taking applications for the LI-HEAP Summer Cooling Regular and Summer Crisis Intervention Program on July 9.  The program is designed to assist low-income households with home energy related emergency situations. Electric bills only, no gas bills will be accepted. Applications will be accepted through September 30 or until funds are depleted.

The following information is needed to determine eligibility:

Proof of total monthly household income for the month prior to application.

Birth dates and social security numbers of all members of the household.

A recent electric bill for regular assistance and/or proof of shut-off notice, no more than seven days prior to shut-off date for crisis intervention assistance.

Applications will be taken from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Offices are closed from noon until 1 p.m. and on Friday. For more information, contact a local outreach office or call SEACAC Central Office LI-HEAP Supervisor: Angela Meeks at 870-226-2668 ext. 307
