Arlen Eugene Casteel, of McGehee, passed away on March 27, 2017.

He was born on December 8, 1937 in Dermott and was the son of the late Leon and Ruby Hoover Casteel.

Mr. Casteel was an AG Pilot for more than 40 years and a truckdriver for more than 10 years. He loved to sing karaoke classic country and southern gospel music. He loved spending time with his family and others.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Jake Dylan Casteel.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Carolyn Biggs Casteel; a son, Greg (JoDee) Casteel of Aspen, Colorado; a daughter, Ann Casteel Pugh of Little Rock; a sister, Carolyn Livingston of Murphreesboro, Tennessee; grandchildren, Carole (Justin) Pamplin, Callie Jo (Chris) Lewis, Krystal (Cory) Hornaday, Laura Ashton Casteel, Grant Gill and three great-grandsons.

A visitation will be held on March 28 from 6-8 p.m. at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, the funeral home with Rev. Gary Casteel and Rev. Ben White officiating. Burial will be at Dermott Cemetery in Dermott.
