The Star City High School Art Club recently visited sites in Dallas and Arlington, Texas as part of an educational field trip involving art, history, science, and physical education.

Students toured the Dallas Museum of Art; the Sixth Floor Museum which focuses on the life and assassination of President John F. Kennedy; Galleria Dallas; Six Flags Over Texas; AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys; and the Perot Museum of Nature and Science.

The field trip was partially funded by a Target Field Trip Grant awarded to Star City High School art teacher Roger Darren High. This was the ninth time High has been awarded a Target Field Trip Grant. “This field trip provided students the opportunity to visit important historical and educational sites,” he said.

This was the 50th educational field trip High has implemented for his students since he started teaching.
