An Ashley County couple is facing drug delivery charges after they allegedly transported and delivered suspected methamphetamine into Drew County, according to Lt. Jason Akers, supervising agent of the 10th Judicial District Drug Task Force.
Adam Bond, 29, and Jeanie Stivers, 20, both of Ashley County, were arrested last week following a two-county investigation, Akers said.
“Bond attempted to destroy suspected methamphetamine and flee on foot,” Akers said. “Agents were able to recover the methamphetamine and apprehend Bond on the scene. Stivers was arrested after agents located methamphetamine-related drug paraphernalia in the vehicle she and Bond were traveling in.”
Bond’s bond was set at $250,000 and Stivers’ bond was set at $25,000 bond. Bond faces a delivery of methamphetamine charge while Stivers faces delivery of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia charges, according to Akers.
