An Ashley County woman was killed Tuesday afternoon in a head-on collision on U.S. 278, 10 miles east of Monticello, according to a State Police report.
Jessica Nicole Greenlee, 21, of Fountain Hill, was traveling west on U.S. 278 when her 2011 Chevrolet crossed the center line of the highway and struck an eastbound 2012 Buick, according to State Trooper Bo Norris’ preliminary report.
The report indicates that two people were injured in the accident. The identity of the driver of the Buick and those injured in the accident were not disclosed in the report.
The accident occurred at 1:11 p.m. Tuesday. The roadway was dry and the weather was clear, according to the report.
