An Ashley County woman was killed Wednesday in a two-vehicle accident on U.S.425 in Hamburg.
Linda K. Harville, 79, of Hamburg, was traveling west on Polk Street, crossing U.S. 425, when the 2005 Chrysler she was driving was struck by a 2007 Chevrolet traveling north on U.S. 425, according to a state police preliminary accident report.
Harville died as a result of the accident. The driver of the Chevrolet, whose identity was not disclosed in the accident report, was not injured.
The accident occurred on December 2 at 6:55 p.m. The weather was cloudy and the roadway was dry at the time of the accident, according to the the accident report.
At least 575 people have died on Arkansas roads this year, according to preliminary figures.
