Ashley and Bradley counties in Southeast Arkansas are among a dozen counties in Arkansas under burn bans as of September 11, due to dry conditions, according to the Arkansas Forestry Commission.

Outdoor burning is prohibited in counties where burn bans have been issued. Bans are issued by county judges.


There is a moderate risk of wildfire in Ashley, Bradley, Chicot, Cleveland, Desha, Drew and Lincoln counties in Southeast Arkansas, as well as much of the south-southwest half of the state.
