Ava Jean Stringfellow, 86, of Helena, formerly of Dumas, passed away October 5, 2020

She was born May 5, 1934 in Osceola, and was the daughter of the late Amos and Minnie Hacker.

Jean was a homemaker and Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Johnny Springfellow; second husband, Bobby Mason; two sons Mark and Paul Stringfellow; daughter, Dana Stringfellow; sisters, Evelyn Hacker and Ola Mae Edwards; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Hacker.

Survivors are two daughters, Ashley (Jeremy Gable) Parrish of Helena and Latashia (Devon Campbell) Stringfellow of Monticello; a son, Robert (Nicole) Parrish of McGehee; two brothers, Curtis Hacker and Ernest Hacker; and nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services held Thursday, October 8, at 2 p.m. at Tyro Cemetery with Rev. Don Borland officiating.
