Barbara Jean Majors Copeland, 54, of Monticello passed away on May 19, 2016 at her home.
She was born February 13, 1962 and was the daughter of the late Gene Majors and Mary Jackson Majors Tucker.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Jo Hawkins, and grandparents, R.S. & Dorothy Majors and Earl Jackson and Earlene Jackson Frost.
She worked had worked many years as secretary/manager for P.Q. Gardner, was an EMT for Monticello Ambulance Service, and worked at Lucky’s Chevrolet before becoming disabled. She was a member of the Ark of Faith Church in Monticello.
Survivors include her husband, Terry Copeland of Monticello; a son, Jeremy Snow and wife Joni of Hamburg; a daughter, Jennifer Hawkins and husband Anthony of Monticello; her mother, Mary Jackson Tucker and stepfather Winburn of Coleman; a brother, Jerry Majors and wife Michelle of Monticello; two sisters, Robin Messetti and husband Joe of Waterbury, Connecticut and Debra Bennett and husband Bill of Monticello; a step-brother, Jeff Tucker of Monticello; two step-sisters, Trudy Carrington and husband Alan of Rowlett, Texas and Stacy Smith and husband Jeff of Little Rock; two stepsons, Jonathan Halbert and wife Carmen of Russellville and Justin Halbert of Little Rock; six grandchildren, Dylan Snow, Christian Snow, Ashlynn Snow, Kelcey Hawkins, Seth Hawkins and Alyssa Hawkins and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be on May 23 at 11 a.m. at The Ark of Faith Church in Monticello followed by burial at the Rose Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is May 22 from 6 p.m until 8 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home in Monticello.
