Two Baxter County residents are being held in Desha County jails following a multi-jurisdictional investigation that led to the seizure of more than a quarter of a pound of “ice” methamphetamine in Dumas.
The methamphetamine has a street value of more than $15,000, according to Lt. Jason Akers, the 10th Judicial District Drug Task Force supervising agent.
Kimberlee Gagliardi, 40, of Lakeview, was arrested after she drove to Southeast Arkansas where she received a package containing the methamphetamine. Michael Gagliardi, 46, also of Lakeview and formerly Desha County, was arrested in Baxter County and transported to Desha County, according to Akers.
Kimberlee Gagliardi, whose bond was set at $100,000, is being held in the Dumas jail while Michael Gagliardi, whose bond was set at $400,000, is being held in the McGehee jail.
The 10th Judicial District Drug Task Force, Dumas Police Department, Baxter County Sheriff’s Office and a law enforcement agency in San Bernadino, California, where Michael Gagliardi reportedly has a criminal history, were all involved in the investigation, according to Akers.
