Benjamin Jack Bourland, 80, passed away August 22, 2017 at his home in Monticello.

He was born July 17, 1937 in Drew County, to the late Isaac Don Bourland and Kathryn Roberts Bourland.

Mr. Bourland retired from Standard Oil in El Segundo, California. He was a member of Pleasant Springs Missionary Baptist Church and a member of Single Action Shooting Society. “Mr. General Information” was his alias.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Constance Louise Tibbs Bourland.

Survivors include one daughter, Suzanne Lorraine Bourland of Monticello; two sons, Benjamin Jack Bourland, III and wife Nancy of Pahrump, Nevada; Louie Granger Bourland of Memphis, Tennessee; a sister, Nita Peterson and husband David of Ashville, North Carolina; three grandsons, Mark Alan Cultice, Jr. of Beverly Hills, California; Elliott Cultice of Santa Monica, California and Benjamin Jack Bourland IV of Wisconsin; one granddaughter, Brianna Cultice of Long Beach, California; one great granddaughter, Alena Cultice of Long Beach, California; and a host of family and friends.

Memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, September 2, at Pleasant Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
