Benjamin John Dulaff, Sr. 92, of Star City, died on October 21, 2015 at his home.
He was a World War II veteran who served in Central Europe and received four Bronze Stars. He was also a highway worker for the State of New York, a lifetime member of the VFW in New York, and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Dulaff was born on September 27, 1923 in Denning, New York and was the son of the late Andrew B. and Gladys Van Wagner Dulaff.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Anna Dulaff; a daughter-in-law, Bertha Dulaff; a son-in-law, Charlie Conklin and a great-granddaughter, Morgan Farrer.
Survivors include son, Benjamin (Lisa) Dulaff, Jr. of Star City; four daughters, Frances (Kurt) Dourvetakis of Florida, Betty Paul, Cindy Madden and Patricia Conklin, all of New York; 14 grandchildren, Bobby (Karen) Barker of Iowa, Monica Travis of Rison, Lee (Crystal) Freeman of Rison, Jennifer (Larry) Earnest of Iowa, Mena Dourvetakis, Jim Dourvetakis and Julie Dourvetakis, all of Florida, Ervin Paul, Landon Dulaff, Jimmy Madden, Chris Madden and Crystal Conklin, all of New York, Katherine (Chris) Pennington of Rison and Alexzandra (Cory) Brock of Star City and 27 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on October 23, 2015 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.
A memorial service will be held in Clareyville, New York at a later date.
