Bertha Marie Anderson Durham, 87, of Lake Village, went to be with her Lord Thursday, December 3, 2020.
She was born February 1, 1933, in Lake Village to James and Ella Anderson.
She was a charter member of Bayou Mason Baptist Church where she taught the small children in Sunday school for many years and sang with the group of Bayou Mason singers and the church choir.
Mrs. Durham was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years, Oliver Durham, her sisters; Mae Lee A Broach, Dorothy A. Delancy, Bettie A Shivey, a brother, James Anderson.
Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Helen A. Fonden and Ruby A. Hicks; a brother, Raymond Anderson; her daughters, Janice D. Cranford and Carolyn (Carl) Hayes; grandchildren, Holli M. (Allen) Kelley, Amber M (Todd)McGuire, Kelsey P. (Elliott) Berkemeyer, Magan Palmquist (Ryan), Timothy Palmquist, Carl Hayes II, Amanda H. (John) McNemar and Andrew (Rebecca) Hayes. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, Anderson, Micah, Kennedy, Camryn, Laynie, Myles, Wells, Blakley, Brantley, Reagan, Anberlynn, Kohen, Anslee, Noah, Iain, Ella, Mason, and Harrison, and many, many other friends and relatives that love her.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 6, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Bishop-King Funeral Home in Lake Village.
A private graveside service will be held Monday, December 7.
