Bettie Jean Wilson, 91, of Quanah, Texas, formerly of Star City, passed away August 13, 2021 at Texhoma Christian Care Center in Wichita Falls, Texas.
She was born June 19, 1930 in Hagerman, Texas to the late Marshall Elbert and Lela Belle Siebman Blakley.
Bettie was a member of First Baptist Church of Star City and First Baptist Church of Quanah, Texas, where she was a member of the Senior Group. She was the Lincoln County Deputy Tax Collector for many years.
Besides her parents, Bettie was preceded in death by her husband, Earl F. Wilson; brother, Edward Blakley (Louella); sister, Ima Jane Bradshaw (Brad); great-granddaughter, Makenna Wilson; and two great-grandsons, Wyatt Wells and Weston Wells.
Survivors include a son, Keith Earl (Mollie) Wilson of West Columbia, Texas; two daughters, Lela Annette Robbins of Quanah, Texas and Penny Jean Wilson of Little Rock; six grandchildren, John (Stacey) Robbins, Amy (Ryan) Wells, Rhonda (Derek) Harding, Chad Wilson, Jennifer Guidry, and Jerri (John) Boatright; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 20, at 10 a.m. at Griffin Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Dennis Dodson and Bro. Randy Magar officiating. Visitation is Thursday, August 19 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Best Cemetery.
Pallbearers are John Robbins, Hunter Robbins, Charles Walker, Dave Blakley, Mike Scates and James Blakley. Honorary pallbearer is Landon Wells.
