Betty Fran Barnett Adams, 75, of Crossett, passed away on January 2, 2021, at her home.
She was born on March 23, 1945, to her parents, Carroll and Evelyn Gardner Barnett.
Betty was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church and a 1963 graduate of Crossett High School. She later received a diploma from the Votech School of Business.
She was a gifted musician who played both the piano and the accordion. Before her illness, she also enjoyed caring for her rose bushes, sewing, and cooking for her family. She delighted in visiting with her friends but especially loved and cherished visits from her grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Adams, one daughter, Sandra Lynn Black, and one sister, Carolyn Brown.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Sims and husband, Jay, of Crossett, and Dana Hurst and husband, Keith, of Fayetteville; two sisters, Sylvia Martin and husband, Bobby, of Hamburg, and Mary Alice McMahan and husband, Frank, of Crossett; and four grandchildren, Hailey Outlaw and husband, Josh, of Monroe, Louisiana, Hannah Hurst and Pvt. William Hurst, both of Fayetteville and Lane Furgerson of Crossett.
A private graveside service will be held Monday, January 4 at 2 p.m. at Carter Cemetery with Bro. Lyle Hern officiating.
