Betty Jo Watson, 82, of Eudora, passed away on March 11, 2018.
She worked at Nita’s Flower Shop in Eudora for many years and loved quilting and working her flower garden. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Eudora where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years.
Mrs. Watson was born September 11, 1935 in Luna, Arkansas and was the daughter of the late Bill and Ivy Dixon Hester.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C.M. Watson; a son, Marvin Joe Watson; two brothers, Billy Hester and Frank Hester; and a grandson, Paul Slade.
Survivors include her son, Charles (Saundra) Watson of Portland; daughter, Marilyn (Jerry) Downs of Durant, Oklahoma; brothers, Robert (Kay) Hester of Pine Bluff, Wesley (Beverly) Hester of Little Rock, and Bobby (Evelyn) Hester of Pine Bluff; sisters, Sarah Hester of Pine Bluff and Jewell (Tom) Poole of Clinton; grandchildren, Jason Downs, Bryan Downs, Brandon Watson, Jennifer Slade, Deanne Talley, Kyle Nathan Haley and C.W. Watson and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 14 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church in Eudora. Funeral Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with Rev. James Kitchens and Rev. Bud O’Neal officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Eudora.
